These studs ensure the locking of the two engine cases that hold the crankshaft and minimize the effect of separation between them, reducing the risk of crankshaft bearing failures and oil pressure problems typical of these engines.
Attention: it is important to measure the clearance of the main bearings, as it may vary according to the tightening performed.
